As an IT Procurement Lead, you will manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for technology products and services within Global IT. This pivotal role covers strategic sourcing, vendor management support, contract negotiation, and administrative execution.
You will drive the maturity of the Global IT procurement function by implementing efficient processes, ensuring compliance, and centralising procurement activities across the organisation. The successful candidate will enable innovation and cost optimisation while supporting operational excellence.
What you will be doing?
Procurement Operations
Develop and execute sourcing strategies across IT categories: hardware, software, cloud services, infrastructure, and professional services.
Support and, where appropriate, lead RFP/RFI processes, vendor evaluations, and selection aligned with business and technical requirements.
Monitor market trends and supplier innovations to inform procurement decisions.
Maintain category plans and supplier roadmaps to support long-term IT transformation goals.
Design, implement, and where possible automate efficient, scalable procurement processes to reduce cycle times and improve transparency.
Centralise procurement activities to ensure consistency, control, and visibility across departments.
Establish governance frameworks and workflows for approvals, renewals, and vendor onboarding.
Develop and maintain procurement policies, templates, and SOPs to standardise operations.
Promote a culture of compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement within the function.
Vendor and Contract Management
Support the Head of Vendor and Supply Chain with commercial negotiations, SLAs, and licensing agreements to optimise value and mitigate risk.
Support with managing vendor performance through KPIs, scorecards, and quarterly business reviews.
Ensure contracts are compliant with legal, regulatory, and cybersecurity standards by working with Security and Legal teams.
- Support vendor onboarding and offboarding processes.Financial & Risk Management
Collaborate with Finance and IT Directors to forecast IT spend, track budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and facilitate cross charges.
Monitor procurement risks including supply chain disruptions, vendor insolvency, and
compliance breaches.
Implement controls to ensure ethical sourcing, data privacy, and sustainability goals.
Align procurement with enterprise architecture, security, and risk governance.
Stakeholder Engagement
Support project managers, business owners and technical leads in defining procurement requirements and timelines.
Raise and manage purchase orders (POs) in line with procurement policies and budget approvals.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and vendor communications in centralised systems.
Track and report on software licences, renewals, and usage compliance across the organisation.
Reconcile invoices against POs and contracts, resolving discrepancies with vendors and Finance.
Prepare monthly and quarterly procurement reports including spend analysis, licence status,and vendor performance.
Ensure timely renewals of subscriptions, support agreements, and maintenance contracts.
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to queries.
