As a result of a solid partnership between Randstad Technologies and one of the biggest Multinational Company with relevant international projects taking place in Portugal, we are currently conducting a process for a Safety and Quality Assurance Manager.

To integrate the Quality and Safety Department, we look for a Safety and Quality Assurance Manager to support products, proposals and projects in ASD (AeroSpace and Defence) field.

The Safety and Quality Manager will have the following roll:

Makes sure that Safety Assurance requirements are met. Supports Products, Bids & Project teams in identifying and resolving problems. He/she works closely with key actors in Engineering and Services.

Main responsibilities:

- Define the responsibilities of Safety Assurance, the rules of engagement for Safety Assurance, and Safety Assurance activities;
- Check the conformity of activities that contribute to Safety Assurance, and of any adjustments made, against applicable Safety Assurance standards;
- Together with the Project Engineering Manager, supports the safety file for the customer or the authorities concerned;
- Make sure that the technical and non-technical requirements of the customer are recorded, understood and managed efficiently by all the members of the project team;
- Make sure that measures are planned and taken to reduced risks and make the most of opportunities relating to outsourced work.

Preferred knowledge and skills:

- Engineering degree (e.g. Software, Systems, Industrial);
- Experience in Quality and Safety Management System standards;
- Knowledge of system and software development standards and maturity models (CMMI, ESA, ISO);
- Knowledge of Air Traffic Services Safety (ICAO, EASA, FAA, CAA, CASA, etc.);
- Experience of system and software safety activities;
- Experience in software development and/or software testing;
- Experience in RAMS.
