Our client is a multinational insurance Company, a worldwide reference in this sector. We are currently searching for an Assistant Actuary (m/f)


Ideal Profile:

- Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience required;

- Sound knowledge of actuarial techniques and standards. Knowledge of GI
market and other business operations including financial, underwriting, legal,
statistics, claims, sales, etc;

- Proven math and analytical skills, as normally acquired through the pursuit
of a bachelors degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial
Science, or related field;

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build
relationships and interact effectively with others within and outside the

- Strong computing skills and basic programming. Knowledge of SAS will be
an advantage;

- Knowledge of GI actuarial modelling packages;

- Solid oral and written presentation communication skills and ability to
interact effectively within and outside the organization;

- Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment as
well as independently;

- Ability to balance multiple projects to ensure timely delivery of accurate

- Personally motivated with the ability to motivate and mentor peers and
motivate and train subordinates;

- Ability to build complex models.

principais responsabilidades


- Maintain status in Actuarial Student Development Program;

- Perform complex actuarial analysis within a designated business segment/s to
assist business decision making, financial planning, and strategy development:

- Prepare actuarial research and complex reports and projects; present findings
and recommendations;

- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all analysis and recommendations;

- Provide clear and concise communication of technical actuarial work to
technical and non-technical audiences, and on cross functional teams;

- Retrieve, understand and manipulate data and perform rigorous validation as it
relates to assigned and related projects;

- Maintain clear and concise documentation of methods and activities;

- Interact with and provide technical assistance and information to peers, senior
managers, and others within and outside of the organization;

- Mentor, motivate, and train less experienced staff and peers;

- Direct the development maintenance and improvement of actuarial tools;

- Attend industry and internal actuarial meetings; represent company at external
meetings as necessary;

- Complete required training and ensure work is performed in line with policies,
guidelines and procedures;

- Identifies and proposes opportunities for process improvement, and
implements appropriate solutions;

- Achieve a high level of customer confidence/satisfaction;

- Produces work product has meaningful impact on business results;

- Effectively communicate results of projects, studies and analyses.
