Ensure the stable operation of the computer networks. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links.
Install and upgrade network components and software, manage firewalls, and integrate automation processes.
Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network connected end-user hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
User support efforts, making sure all network services like, Wired, Wireless, VPNs, Internet Access, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
Provide analysis concerning usage trends, capacity planning and recurring events.
Provide analysis of outage and incident patterns.
Coordinate maintenance upgrades, service packs and backup of network systems.
Coordinate with others inside and outside of the IT group, to troubleshoot and provide design recommendations of network infrastructures, based in business needs.
