As a travel consultant, you will advise your client about travel options, based on the stated objectives. Your role will be to facilitate travel arrangements and accommodations for your client and / or his party, including research on places of interest. You will also make sure that those travelling have all the necessary documentation required to travel to their destinations.
Determine clients' needs and suggesting suitable travel options;
Research various destinations and means of travel regarding prices, customs, weather conditions, reviews, culture and current trends (shows, restaurants, exhibitions, etc);
Book flights and other transportation arrangements as well as lodging and tours;
Communicate with different vendors to obtain the best deals;
Handle unforeseen issues and search for solutions;
Keep record of travel expenses and handle invoices;
Process payments through bill pay portal.
